In that time I recognised the challenges that funeral engravers face in delivering a professional, but caring service to their customers and the importance of having the right tools to help them do this. One of the tools that I felt was desperately lacking, was a computerised funeral engraving solution. Funeral engraving is often very time-consuming for funeral directors and can place a huge strain on already limited resources. In addition, funeral engraving is one of the key parts of the funeral preparation process, so it has to be done exactly right. There’s simply no room for error. So I began looking into computerised funeral engraving solutions and came across Roland (DG), Japan’s foremost engraving machines provider; also renowned for musical instruments and print solutions. On further investigation it became clear to me that I had found an excellent funeral engraving solution; one that would allow funeral directors and stone masons to engrave more efficiently and save on costs too. I approached Roland about their funeral engraving machines in 2009 and a partnership was born. I set up KP Rayner Ltd shortly after and am proud to say that we are still the only reseller of Roland engraving machines to funeral directors in the UK. We have built many services around the delivery of Roland’s funeral engraving machines and pride ourselves on expert training and excellent customer support. After all, that’s what any good business should be about.
